Join NNEWIN and Alnoba for Daring Women Shaping a New Economy 3.0, a morning designed for women who want to feel more confident using money to support people and ideas they believe in, whether you are just beginning to explore or already taking steps.
We’ll open with an optional Alnoba welcome experience, with a choice of a guided sculpture walk or gentle yoga. Then we’ll gather in the Great Room for HerStories, a series of short, powerful talks from leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors sharing real moments that shaped how they chose to take action, what they learned, and what they would do if they were starting today.
After HerStories, you’ll join a small table conversation to reflect and shape the discussion by creating one question your table wants answered. Those questions will guide a lively, practical moderated Q&A with the HerStories speakers. We’ll take a short snack break, then shift into “Ask Me About” stations where you can have more personal conversations with speakers and meet others in a relaxed, self-directed way.
You’ll leave ready to be part of a different future, one shaped by women using money with purpose and confidence to strengthen their communities. You’ll also leave with new relationships and a clear next step you can take right away.

Fiona Wilson
Dr. Fiona Wilson is an impact-orientated leader experienced in building teams, programs, and organizations across the public, private and non-profit sectors. She is deeply committed to strategic innovation and cross-sector collaboration to drive a resilient and sustainable future. Until recently Fiona served as Chief Sustainability Officer for the University of New Hampshire and Executive Director of UNH’s Sustainability Institute. She was previously Co-Founder and Executive Director of UNH’s Changemaker Collaborative and a faculty member at both the Paul College of Business & Economics and the Simmons College School of Management, focused on how innovative and responsible business approaches can help tackle the world’s sustainability challenges. Earlier, Fiona spent 15 years in the business world, including as VP of Marketing for CMGI, a publicly traded internet investment and operating company, and in various roles at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in London and Barcelona. Fiona is Co-Chair of the board of Revision Energy, an employee-owned Certified B Corp, and the largest solar company in New England, as well as Vice President of the Board of the non-profit Friends of Casco Bay, a member of the steering committee of Maine B Corps, and member of the American Rivers Northeast Council. She earned her Doctorate from the Boston University School of Management in Strategy & Policy, with a dissertation entitled Socially Conscious Capitalism, and an MBA from the Simmons College School of Management.
Tory Dietel Hopps, Managing Partner
Tory Hopps is a social, environmental, gender and financial activist. In 2007, she joined her father Bill and sister Betsy in creating Dietel Pickering & Partners, a shared family philanthropic office working with individuals and multigenerational family philanthropies. Clients credit her with helping them align their giving with their values and transforming their attitudes about what is possible with philanthropy and their aligned investments.
Since 2007, the firm has advised over 32 clients and over $400M in grantmaking. Tory manages portfolios for clients with both domestic and international interests. She has a gift for bridging the good intentions of funders and grant seekers through her thoughtful approach.
In 2008, Tory began to move her own inherited wealth in alignment with her values. She has been actively engaged in the impact investing space and enjoys sharing her personal story in hope of inspiring others.
For 25 years prior to Dietel Pickering and Partners, Tory focused on resource development, nonprofit management and governance in education, environment, health and human services. She served as a principal of Turning Point Consulting, specializing in strategic planning and organizational capacity building for nonprofits.
She currently serves on the board of Health Care Without Harm, and is on faculty for the Girl Child Long Walk Fellowship program. She is a Fellow of the Just Economy Institute and an Alum of Rockwood Leadership Institute’s Art of Philanthropic Leaders Program. Tory is a graduate of the Emma Willard School and the University of Vermont.
She’s the mother of two grown children, a grandmother and lives with her husband in Maine. When not causing good trouble, Tory can be found gardening, hiking, biking or dancing.
Tuti B. Scott, Ecosystem Architect
Tuti B. Scott is an ecosystem architect, gender advocate, and strategic advisor working at the intersection of women, money, and embodied power. She coaches leaders, facilitates workshops, and builds communities that activate women’s financial influence and expand opportunities for gender lens-focused investing and philanthropy.
Tuti currently works with Women Moving Millions and Invest for Better and curates the Women&Money community. She has served as a certified fundraiser, a coalition strategist, an executive coach, and a two-time interim CEO. During her 16 years at the Women’s Sports Foundation, she and her team raised more than $70 million to advance equal access to sports for women and girls. She served on the Tides Board of Directors for a decade, including five years in board leadership, helping steward more than $1 billion in social justice philanthropy.
She is the author of Money, Gender, and Power: A Guide to Funding with a Gender Lens and Moving Money for Impact: A Guide to Gender Lens Investing. Today, her work focuses on engaging funders and founders in women’s sports via her creation of the “Change the Game, Fund the Future” and the Investing in Women’s Sports Symposium.
Emily Sylvester, Entrepreneur
Emily Sylvester is an entrepreneur, healthcare innovator, and speaker dedicated to improving access to care for women and families. As the Founder and CEO of Mother of Fact, she combined more than 15 years of experience as a pediatric Registered Dietitian and board-certified lactation consultant with technology to advance equitable maternal nutrition care. Emily is a 2023 Techstars alum, former President of the Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition, and recipient of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ 2018 Young Dietitian of the Year award. She is passionate about leadership, innovation, strategic growth, and building meaningful relationships to create lasting change in healthcare and underserved markets. Emily is also the proud mom of four children who continue to inspire her work and perspective on leadership.
Betty Francisco, Impact Investor
Betty Francisco is a business executive, impact investor, and board director with 25+ years of experience spanning corporate law, entrepreneurship, and community finance. As CEO of Boston Impact Initiative, a nonprofit impact investment fund and certified CDFI, she oversees a $25M integrated capital platform and a portfolio of 100+ enterprises and emerging impact funds across New England. A self-described recovering corporate lawyer, Betty’s career includes senior roles at Edwards Wildman (now Locke Lord), Sports Club/LA and Reebok Sports Club/NY (acquired by Equinox Fitness), and Compass Working Capital.
She serves on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, The Boston
Foundation, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and the Nellie Mae Education Foundation. Boston Magazine named her one of Boston’s 150 Most Influential for three consecutive years; the Boston Business Journal named her a 2025 Power 50 Movement Leader. She holds a J.D./M.B.A. from Northeastern University and a B.A. from Bard College.
Elise Kiely, Real Estate Investor & Broker
Elise Kiely is a real estate investor, developer, broker, and former litigator whose career reflects an ability to recognize opportunity, manage risk, and build value across sectors. After nearly a decade litigating high-technology and antitrust matters in Washington, D.C., she moved to Maine and left legal practice in 2001 to begin investing in residential real estate. She earned her real estate license in 2005 and has since built a leading brokerage practice representing buyers, sellers, investors, and high-end developments throughout Greater Portland.
Today, Elise is a Senior Vice President and Luxury Real Estate Advisor with Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty. Consistently ranked among Maine’s top brokers, she is currently in the top 0.5 percent statewide. Her combined experience in law, development, investing, and brokerage gives her a distinctive perspective on negotiation, strategic decision-making, and creating long-term value.
Elise also brings her entrepreneurial and community-building experience to causes across Maine. She serves on the board of United Recovery Fund, mentors high school girls as an Olympia Leadership Advisor through the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute, and hosts the Elegant Maine Living podcast, featuring conversations with community leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries.
