Tammy E. Newmark has been a leader in impact investing for thirty years. She serves as CEO and Managing Partner of EcoEnterprises Fund, a pioneer in investing growth capital in nature-positive companies that drive social justice and protect the Earth’s biodiversity. She has led EcoEnterprises Fund from its launch under The Nature Conservancy in 1998 to spinning off a women-owned investment manager in 2010. With the third fund under management, EcoEnterprises Fund has invested in nearly fifty unique emerging companies in eleven countries in Latin America. Prior to EcoEnterprises Fund, she was a founder of the first venture fund that specialized in renewable energy, clean technology, and green investments in developing markets. She has worked for the International Finance Corporation and JPMorgan Chase. Newmark is co-author of Portfolio for the Planet: Lessons from 10 years of impact investing, (Earthscan/Routledge Press, 2011).
